TAG events, unless otherwise noted in the calendar, are held at the Topanga Library meeting room on the first Wednesday of the month and are free and open to the public. Light refreshments, coffee, and tea are served.

Authors read from their work and share their influences, attractions to specific forms or media, how they generate ideas, meet the empty page, silence the nagging inner critic, develop a practice, find joy in creation, do research, translate inspiration into a finished piece, rewrite, get published (or not), promote, and keep going. Q&As follow presentations.

More casual than a presentation, roundtables allow for conversations to take place in a circle with a moderator. Roundtables are anchored by two or three writers who discuss and read from their work. Past roundtables include Science Fiction & Fantasy, Self-Publishing, and Playwriting, Directing, and Reviewing (because we have hardworking people in this town who keep the paper and a professional theatre going strong).

Storytellers explore a topic or theme with a moderator and then take questions from the audience.
